Jesus to His Disciples

Upon choosing his twelve disciples, Jesus took them to a mountainside where he would teach them how to carry out their holy duty. When His pupils gathered, Jesus began to preach to them “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of Heaven”, “Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth“, and “Blessed are those who mourn: for they shall be comforted”. Confused, Jesus explained those open or hurt are willing to accept spiritual renewal rather than those too proud to allow the light of God shine upon them. With this information, the disciples began their journey to spread the word of God.

“Therefore you are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.”
