Our Lady of Fatima

The Story

Between May 13 and October 13, 1917, the Blessed Virgin Mary, appeared six times to three children, Jacinta Marcos, Francisco Marcos, and Lucia Dos Santos, in a field in the town of Fatima, Portugal. Each time she was dressed in radiant white and glowed beautifully. The Blessed Virgin Mary told these “Three Seers” that she had been sent by God to deliver a message for every man, woman, and child. If her requests for prayer, reparation, and consecration were heard and obeyed, she promised that Heaven would grant peace to all the world. This promise was made during a time of much bloodshed throughout the world as World War I waged on. The Anniversary of Our Lady of Fatima is celebrated each year on the 13th of October.

The Secret

The Blessed Virgin message has come to be known as the “Secret” and consists of three parts. The first two have been made known to the public but the third still remains a mystery.
